Medium: Lino Block, Carving Tool, Block Printing Ink
For Christmas I got all the supplies I need for block printing, and this is my first attempt. A skull seemed like the best thing to try first, because they are white on black. I drew a sketch of it, then rubbed it onto the block. I used the softest block I had since it was my first time doing it. A lot of depth can be achieved with block prints, but I didn’t achieve that. Hopefully I will figure it out soon.
This one I made UV sensitive.

Oooh neat! How did you make it UV sensitive (or is it just bleached white paper under a black light?)

Thanks! I used Noodler’s Blue Ghost invisible ink and painted it on the paper before I did the block print.

It’s so cool to see you branching out into new mediums, Emma! Your art is amazing, as always. 😀
