Medium: Fountain Pen, Dip Pen, Ink
Here’s two drawings I did on a sketch outing on a cloudy day. The first is the Hotel Cazan, which I did with my new fountain pen. I’m not sure if fountain pens aren’t for drawing, or maybe I just don’t like pens for sketching. The scribbly-ness of my sketches are overemphasized with pen.
The second is the doorway of a beautiful bank (now a community center). The building was brick, except for the towering white entrance. I absolutely love the windows. I sketched it in pencil, then when I got home I inked it with my dip pen. I also used a fountain pen ink sample I got for Christmas to paint the brick.
